"Salman Khan’s Tere Naam Sequel In Pipeline": Confirms Satish Kaushik
The makers of Tere Naam are set to return with its sequel, 16 years after Salman's film hit theatres in 2003. Tere Naam which originally starred Salman Khan, marked the debut of Bhumika Chawla and was a critically acclaimed film. Now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, after 16 years Satish Kaushik is planning to return with the sequel of the film. The part 2 of Salman Khan’s love story is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.

A source close to the development told Mirror, “The sequel is a new story, Satish finished writing the script recently. It is a love story revolving around a gangster and will be set in North India. Satish and Salman share a great bond and have recently worked together in Bharat. But it is yet to be decided if Salman will feature in the film or a new cast will be brought on board.” The source further told Mirror that the character names will be retained since they still resonate with the audience.

Tere Naam, which was directed by actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik, was a remake of the Tamil film Sethu. Salman Khan’s character of Radhe Mohan is still one of the most iconic characters of his career. His long locks falling on his face and dark shades is still remembered as the Tere Naam look.
